Newsflash

---------------------------------
NUSSU NEWSFLASH
---------------------------------
NUSSU Circular on Full Recess Week

Dear fellow students,

The mid-semester recess was abolished in AY 2003/2004. As a response to feedback from NUSSU, it was partially reinstated in AY 2004/2005. The mid-semester recess became a 4-day break, with every subsequent academic week beginning on a Friday. This has led to some scheduling uncertainty and has generally caused confusion among students.

After receiving much feedback from the students, asking for the restoration of the full mid-semester recess week, NUSSU has been working hard to impress on the University Administration the importance of these responses. The University Administration had indicated willingness to make a change but however, explained that it was not a straightforward process of simply increasing the number of days of recess. This is because the decision will also affect the workflow for the rest of the year. For example, increasing the number of days for the recess would overlap into the Special Term, the MINDEF black out period for National Service, the examinations period, the marking period, the commencement period, and so forth. Thus, restoring the full recess week required much planning.

Following brainstorming sessions and numerous meetings with senior university administrators, NUSSU proposed various solutions and the Administration has been receptive to examining each one to arrive at the best solution. As a consequence of these efforts, the University has now found a way ahead by modifying the way examination results are to be released.

Currently, examination results are released in three ways: through hard copy result slips which are sent to us, through the website and by NUSPhone. The results are released over a 3-day period so as to prevent the telephone lines from being always engaged.

In order to shorten this 3-day period, NUS will phase out NUSPhone with effect from AY2006/07. In its place, the University has explored other means to release examinations results, while keeping the options of hard copies and website access.

Last semester, the University undertook a pilot project with students from the Faculty of Engineering, releasing examination results via SMS. The system works in the following way. The student sends an SMS to a pre-determined number, provides his/her unique identification number, and his/her results will be SMS-ed back to that telephone number.

A wide scale trial will be conducted at the end of this semester. After the trial, the Registrar’s Office will invite feedback before making a decision on whether to continue with this system. Your feedback on this project will help the University improve the system.

For this semester, the three existing methods for the release of examination results will continue, namely, the hard copies, the website access and NUSPhone, alongside the trial of the SMS system.

With effect from AY 2006/2007, the University will extend the mid semester recess to a full week. The differences between the current calendar and the new calendar are laid out below.

SECURITY ALERT – CONMAN STRIKES AGAIN!
Campus Security has received a fresh report of a conman and his accomplice operating on campus. In this latest incident, the victim (a NUS student) had sympathised with the two suspects and handed over some money - only to realise later on that he was conned. The suspects (a plump 1.7m tall Chinese male in his 30s with his hair dyed brown and his partner a plump Chinese female in her 20s who acted as a lookout), were well dressed in black and claimed that they needed money for accommodation and meals. The tricksters suggested to the victim to use his ATM card to withdraw money. They even provided a fictitious business card to the victim.
We strongly advise all staff and students to report strangers asking for money or behaving suspiciously to Campus Security at 6874 1616 or the Police at 999. DO NOT hand over cash to strangers or provide accommodation to them.

Turning 24...

A couple of friends are turning or had turned 24 this month and I would like to say Happy Birthday! This includes Kim, who celebrated her birthday like, today.. and Coins and Daph. And those whom I forgot, hur hur. SO how is it like to turn 24? I wonder.. I will know when the time comes. And I am not exactly looking forward.

So, being very broken, I decided to make presents for my friends. SO the one you see is the one I made for Kimmie and I passed it to her this afternoon since we met up to go swimming. I did my 20 laps~~ Anyway, the pool is quite crowded on Friday evenings. And there is a stupid coach who thinks he owns the pool. Why do people always think they own public places? TSK. Their surname is not Lee caan... Oh anyway, can you see some VERY old pics in there, even Kim can't remember them. hru hur.

Oh something VERY infuriating today. I was walking home minding my own business and then 3 girls walked behind me. Then one commented. "those shoes are the very expensive one" Her fren replied yah, then she continued, "but they are very ugly" and her friend replied the same thing. NABEH. Can you have the decency to at least say it in front of me? WTF? I mean, until you can afford the blerdy nice and expensive Crocs, you don't criticise them caaan... That's obviously sour grapes lo. *OK, I noe people like Junling is prolly rolling on the floor laughing. I REPEAT, THEY ARE NOT UGLY* **FUMES** So yah, I get particularly peeved when people criticise me when they don't have the ability. Like, huh? your fingers so short and small, how to play piano? Or, The food is abit bland, sour, spicy, bitter, blah blah blah. *shut up, cook it yourself next time* Or what's the point of studying so much? I'm sure a diploma is very good already.. *disclaimer: I am not talking about particular person above. These examples could be friends, relatives, blah blah blah.* So anyway, unless you can do it much better than me, I do not appreciate you unconstructive feedbacks. REALLY.

Anyway, my crocs are NOT ugly. *and does anyone noe where to get cheap crocs, I want to buy a 2nd pair* Yup. Today there was this man on the LRT leaning against the pole reading his papers when the train was actually quite crowded. I mean like, hellooOOo? Can you read it when you are home and stand properly so others can hold on to the pole? Why do people like to do that? TSK. Anyway the guy's got greasy hair, combed. Black, squarish metal specs, UGLY cargo pants tucked in his belt. *can't remember his top, prolly something ugly as well*. SO, THAT IS A NERD. UGLY NERD. Cyclist does not fall into the same category. He is NOT a nerd caaan...He don't have ugly greasy hair and ugly cargo pants. Though he reads Newpaper, I'm sure he does not lean on MRT poles and read them on a crowded train okaeeeee. TSK. You people really need me to educate you.. TSK TSK.

Oh well. ANYWAY, I was at a childcare centre yesterday. Oh, I must thank Peiling, Coins' sister, and her supervisor for letting me interview the kids. They are.... really.. a handful.. Even though there were only 5 Primary school kids. GOSH. But the little ones are really really kewt. Especially those toddlers. OH OH, Daniel and Sarah will be back on 10th Mar. Yayee...

Oh Talking about presents, I was working on another one for another friend. and this is it! To protect the identity of my dear friend *actually no lah, it's because I have not given it to my friend and I think my friend still visits my blog some time*, I blurred the pictures. But anyway it's in the shape of a turtle, *turtle long life mah* and many many flowers. hur hur... Quite pretty also lah, though I think I prefer Kimmie's one.. hur hur

well, this are just some stuffs I do to keep myself sane with this crazy workload. ARRGHHH!! So yup, I still need many many primary school kids to do a survey one Neopets. Will really appreciate if anyone can help..*I will buy you lollypops!!!* Yup, my email addy/msn is
pangellie@hotmail.com. Thanks in advance lah!!!

Lazy dayssSsSs

Following the merger of Valuair and Jetstar, they are having pretty good promotions at Jetstarasia, so if you are un-broken, do check it out. SIGH. Like I told Junling this afternoon, no money means no money, tempting also like that... Siem Reap looks like a good place...

Anyway, fort hose who wish to help the people in Philippines but not sure how, do check out
World Vision Website to find out what you can offer..

The aftermath of yesterday's spree is a rather empty wallet and a rather tired soul. SO very sleepy. TSK. Not good. I should not be doing this in a long while.

There is a lump in my ear, I mean teh outer part where you can see. It's not a pimple, and I really don't know what that thing is. Last night I tried rubbing it and flow flowed out. Today, my momma said she could see some puss. EUuUuWWWwwW.

It's so amazing I've been teaching my student for 6 years. It's very amazing to see the kids grow up before your very eye. From a young, playful imp to a teenager. *I must have aged alot* But yah, so weird.

I'll be in school tomorrow then to Boon Lay area to do interview.

Oh, Neopets can be quite fun. WWS, you are such a baad owner.

Oh, oh, last night photos.

My almost-done dinner. Some lemongrass chicken

The Deviants w/o Doreal as she 'jetted off' to Malaysia

See Zhao Hui's BIG head on the table? hur hur

FInally, the 3 of us.. Angie is a Japanese-fanatic and really, I am very impressed by her fluency.. SHE CAN SING JAPANESE SONGS IN KTV CAN!!!

I was searching for some photos and I found some that I took in Japan like 3 years ago.. Boy, I looked like Winnie the Pooh can.. I mean my tummy. I think it's pretty much the same now lah.. just more swollen.. AHHhhHhH!!

oNce in a while. we need to humour ourselves. hur hur
|

Tsk... baaad choice

While I've been trying quite hard to save money lately, things seem to happen that will ruin my efforts. Today, the 'Deviants' had dinner at Essential Brew after presentation discussion. Followed by dessert at Gelare. And then KTV at Clementi. And then we had to take cab home.

And we kind of got conned because they did not communicate with us well at the kTV. So we only sang for 3 hours. Ok, we should've asked about their closing time. TSK. Think we are just too eager to sing la.. TSK. SO anyway, next time please ask them what time they close and how many drinks are actually included in the package.

I am officially broken *is there a more broke word than broken?* So the final, tiniest hope of going to Oasis concert is dashed by tonight's outing. OH WELL. Can someone buy me a ticket? I promise to be your slave and wash your car everyday *if you don't have car then too bad lo..* SO my point is, can anyone just get me a a ticket to watch Oasis???? AHHHHHhhhHHHH!!!

I'll be doing interviews with kids on Thursday and Friday. Yayee. So by Saturday I can formulate my survey questions and circulate them.. I hope. Things are moving VERY slowly. I haven't read for 1030 yet. And I need to formulate interview questions by Friday. Oh dear.... Then I remember this Arkana *or issit Akana* song that goes "so little time, so much to do, I rather spend some time with you" or something along those lines. He's damn right, so little time, so much to do. Oh I should search for the lyrics of the song.

So anyway, life's been good. No ups, no downs, so there's nothing much to complain except my face is still swollen and I feel ultra depressed when I see my reflection. *I think I should get some kind of slimming cream or something.. no, I think I need a face lift and a liposuction, enhanced with slim wraps* SO, if you see me again, DO NOT FUCKING TELL ME I'VE PUT ON WEIGHT. I know, and I can't help it, and you can't imagine how depressing that can get. So, SHHHH! Zip! Don't say a word.

OH OH, I had the beef FANtastic burger today. It was OK... a bit different from MOS cos Mac's got vege. Perconally I think I prefer MOS's cos the Mac one smells abit like... celery? or whatever it is. I would think the overall service is quite good and it's a nice place to hang out in the morning, or early afternoon before the aunties come in to chit chat and the kids rush in after school. So anyway, the service is not bad.. Oh did I mention, I was at BP PLaza..

ok, found the lyrics. It's ARKARNA and not Arkana or Akana. hur hur.. Close anyway.. So here's a nice song for you~ I rather spend my days with you, really!!

Took a while to drag me out of bed,
Aim some coffee at my head,
Saw the clock I'm running late,
It's an ordinary day.
And I'm like a dog on heat,
Knock one out and then fall asleep,
It's sad but true,
I'd rather be with you
Don't you forget about me,
When you're a celebrity,
It will be only you and me
Before too long.
So little time so much to do,
I rather spend my days with you,
So little time so much to do,
I'd like to spend one day with you,
And if that day is not enough,
Maybe we can stay in touch,
But i'm not making plans for tomorrow,
For tomorrow never comes
Said I've been celibate for years,
Not out of choice theres no-one here,
See I can't give my end away,
Another ordinary day,
And I've love to see a little more of you,
You're clothes would look better on my bedroom floor,
bedroom floor,bedroom floor.
Don't you forget about me,
When you're a celebrity
I know you're busy,
But we all need somebody - before too long
So little time so much to do,
I rather spend my days with you,
So little time so much to do,
I'd like to spend one day with you,
And if that day is not enough,
Maybe we can stay in touch,
But i'm not making plans for tomorrow,
For tomorrow never comes.

OK, it's Arkarna. So little time.

Decaf after four

I never learn my lesson. I always insist on drinking coffee/tea after four. And I always end up having insomnia and then feeling miserable the following day. I deserve it.

I had a Iced -Yuan Yang at Far East Plaza with Junling today. Before that a glass on Ice Lemon Tea. In case you don't know, Yuan Yang is this coffee + tea concoction which is so potent that I can't even close my eyes to rest. GAH!

Franz Ferdinand was here for a one-night only sell-out concert LAST NIGHT. I was NOT there. Because I am broken, and I do not think I have the time. Though I do have the time to sit on the couch in front of the TV the whole night, not even watching. I am THAT busy. Ok, just leave it at I don't have the money *after buying my crocs*. WHich shall be the reason why I am not attending Oasis *the greatest band on earth* on 23rd February. Cos' by then, I will be more broken than I am now and more busy. It's pretty depressing cos' Oasis has always been one of my favouritest bands next to TAKE THAT and Catatonia and Super Furry Animals and Space and a whole lot of other bands lah. hur hur. And my point is, I've missed the TT Singapore concert when I was 14 *though they are making a come-back w/o Robbie, but I doubt they are coming here*, and I am not going for Oasis concert. oh well..

ANYWAY, my face is so swollen now that I feel like a moon, complete with craters. Yes, you can all call me moon face. GAH! Anyway my doctor says my face should swell less and I should not be putting on more weight since I am redusing my dosage. Please let that be true.

ANYWAY, Colin sent this very cute link of this little girl singing along with a malay song. SO adorable. reminds me of my vainpot when she was younger.. hur hur
So here's the clip: *I hope it works*

Haiya, can't remember what I want to blog already. TSK

Why they don't understand english?

I am currently selling some items on yahoo auctions and one of the items include my Crumpler Hee-goer, anD I stated not once, but TWICE in my item description that I will NEVER lower my price any further, NEVER. Now can you tellme, which part of NEVER don't you understand?issit the N or E or V? I mean, come on lah, the item is barely used and shops are selling at 185, I am selling it at 150 and people come asking for 100, 120? I mean, this is not a fish market and the idea of auction is to start at the lowest possible price and hope it goes higher right? Really, I am not THAT hard up for money, if it meant that I am not going to sell the bag if I insist on the price, SO FUCKING BE IT. I don't fucking need you to thank me for replying and hope that I sell the item. I don't fucking care if I manage to sell it, it can stay in my wardrobe for as long as I deem fit. FUCK YOU IDIOTS. Gah!

And recently, I realised many passengers developed another bad habit, not just on the bus, but this is happening on the train. GASP! We should all give our bags a space and ignore those everyone standing around you. Haiya, very tired. Talk about these bad habits some other day..

Every of Beat of My Heart

GreAT song to start the blog with. Attended Corrine May's concert with Junling and Coins at UCC, very very nice.. Like JUnling described, "Like listen from CD right?" Yeah.. only better. It's like being able to see her emotions and feel for the songs. Very touching. At least, I was touched by the performance and some songs left me deeply affected.

I was rather troubled cos' I have yet to complete my 4264 assignment *and by the way, doing it now..* but the concert was kind soothing and maybe, relaxing... Anyway, it's good. There's another one tomorrow, those who haven't gotten your tickets, there might be some left for tomorrow? GO GRAB THEM.

*sorry for the offending A**hole word that I did not notice when I took the picture on my lappie. Apparently, I loved calling people 'A**hole* so much that Elena, my 1st 3 months classmate made this thing for me when she was temp-ing, during the 1st 3 months. I am A**hole 1, think Elena is 2 and ShinShin 3. I wonder how they are now.. I've always wanted to write to them, I should stop procrastinating. Boy, I miss those days..*

She ended the concert with the following song and it's one of my favouritest songs from her. And she said something about memories. The good thing about having memories. Sometimes, I can only convince myself it's cool cos' I've got all the memories. That's the only thing that's left isn't it? I can't agree with her on that. Memories, I rather live without them. Good ones leave me reminiscing while the bad ones.. oh well.

So anyway, here's one of my favouritest song. Do check it out, very nice..

Every Beat of My Heart-- Corrine May

So here we stand
Anchored in hope
Letting the rain wash away every fear

Stars in the sky
Twinkle and shine
I pray they won’t disappear

‘cause I don’t know
Where your journey goes
Or how long it will take to unfold
But as long as we keep this moment shining in the dark
I will be watching over every beat of your heart

I wish that time
Could be replayed
I’d keep you here with me everyday

They say that love is letting go
I hope that you find your way

‘cause I don’t know
Where your journey goes
Or how long it will take to unfold
But as long as we keep this moment shining in the dark
I will be watching over every beat of your heart

NoOOooOoOOoO!!!

This is SO not happening!! I did not strike Toto!!! Now I have to start doing my assignments, say good byeto Pork Chop, Propitious, Paladin and He-man. And I cannot treat me friends in JB, or anywhere else for that matter. I can't get a face lift, slim wraps and lipo-suction. And that's great cos' somehow, my face is currently colonized by an army of big, bold,'glittery' pimples and it is so swollen *side effect* that I feel that it is going to explode anytime if I laugh any harder.. And I can't do anything about it, all thanks to the fact that I did not strike Toto. TA MA DE.

On a brighter note, OP is having sale again.I bought my bermudas with green and white stripes and less than 1/2price. YAYEEE.A brighter note, it's going to be lunar 15th, I can finally take out all the money from the ang baos *Yes,I do wait till 15th to do that*. I hope it hits 0.5k this year cos' I am really, really, really, really broken. And if it doesn't, I think God really, really, really, really hates me. SHOW ME THE MONEY~~~!!

There's been loads of news about racial harmony lately in the news papers, of cos' you know it's cos' of the you-know-who comics. Really, we should not get so sensitive and paranoid. I know this is not just another comic, nobody likes to have people they highly regard ridiculed. But we cannot assume that all Muslims will become terrorist and attack us. Really, I know they will be angered, but I am conficent to say, MOST of them are not stupid to start suicide bombings and all those terrible, terrible acts. Anyway, why do people insist the freedom of press issue? I mean, we all learn that with rights comes responsibilities right? If you demand the right to freedom of press, you should first show some responsible action like respecting religion of others? According to my Ethics class, the dunno-what ethics, you cannot assume that what you believe is universal. SO even if you think that it is ok to joke about God *like I did,do, sometimes*, you cannot assume that other religions think the same right? TSK.

HUGE HUGE pimples. HOW???!!!!

Good morning, Sunshine

Nothing much, just feel like wishing you a very good morning. And hope u have a nice day ahead!

Was talking to my 'good' friend an hour ago. YAYEE. The feeling is mutual. hur hur. Anyway, now that he's got his intenet connection settled, he can happily enjoy his long-distance relationship.

Today it rained. I am not complaining. It should rain more, more, more often.

I wore my Crocs today. IT IS VERY PRETTY OKAEEEEE.

I so lurpe my Crocs and I must start doing work and stop being so lazy.

I wish I can strike TOTO and I will pay everyone to do my work. I will find a nice hansem guy and I will marry him *not he marry me*. I will buy myself a nice lil' ST. Bernard and it shall be named PORKCHOP. I will adopt a girl from Cambodia and name her Propitious Pang and a son from Mongolia and he shall be known as Paladin Pang. Yah, my St. Bernard is Porkchop Pang. Then I will buy myself an Austin Mini Cooper and name it He-man. hur hur hur.... Of cos' I need to go buy Toto first. OK lah, if I really strike Toto, I will give my friends a treat, at JB. hur hur

They are not ugly shoes horrr!!!

These shoes are made for walking~~ *oops, my ah-ma PJ*

HUr hur hur...

So anyway, they were selling Crocs at Sci bazaar and since I was there with Doreal, I couldn't bear the thought of leaving that place without a pair of nice, nice Crocs. hur hur. Now, how do I convince my mom that they dropped from the sky...

And they are not ugly/ducky/funny-looking shoes horrrrrr...

Oh anyway, I was looking at some photos and found this:

Flawless skin~~

Only in this picture lah. whahahahahhaha.

I so lurp my new Crocs. Joy is me~~~

Love is NOT in the air

My day was totally ruined by the lack of love lately. And I should be ashamed of myself for not giving my seat on the bus to this old uncle. I could not justify it by saying I was tired and that I was sitting inside, and that there is a person sitting on the outer seat and hence difficult to give up my seat. TSK. I am a blardy selfish, insensitive piece of lard. I deserve to die... ok, maybe not die cos' alot of those Poly students would have been struck by lightning eons ago. Can you imagine this guy close to making out in front of me, oblivious of the uncle struggling to gain balance while walking to the back of the bus? *Again, I deserve to die* TSK.

And so angry with myself and the stupid girl beside me, I slapped her with my VERY big bag when she refused to stand up when I was alighting. I was sitting in my favourite 'bendy-bus seat' where it is SUPER narrow, where the wheels are, you get the idea. AND SHE REFUSED TO STAND UP. So I need her to know that the seat is super narrow and that I've put on weight over the past 2 months due to an increase in Prednisolone, and since I do not have the time to explain such a mouthful to her, I can only make her feel. FEEELING, you know?

TSK.

A bleeding woman is a bitchy woman. And an already bitchy woman becomes more bitchy when she bleeds. Yes, it'll not be long before u hear me ranting about removing my womb. And it's weird cos' some people are really born without wombs. And I don't know exactly how they feel, some do feel less of a woman because their womb is absent. And of cos' people will think that I am talking about removing my womb simply because I do have one, and if the situation is reversed, ie, I am born without one, I would not feel the same. I don't know either and I can never know. But seriously speaking, I am not kidding about removing my womb. I might not be able to conceive anyway. OH WELL..

To neutralize my unhappy day, a friend called because she got ditched. Of cos' I could not express my joy for that guy who had been the only contributing factor in the relationship. So I kept my mouth shut before I said anything deemed insensitive. I think she is in the 'anger' stage. And I couldn't care less. You deserve it, and you know it. I mean, I am no love-guru, but it takes no rocket scientist to know that you cannot always expect to be the receiving end of a relationship forever. It requires some kind of input from both parties to work right? Have you ever considered how much/little contribution you have made to this relationship? Just because you think that he is not the perfect one doesn't mean he deserves lesser from you. Think about it.

Oh well, deperate housewives' back.

News Update

We were talking about a special reader I have last night in the car and how the stuffs we talk about will sound like Tamil to that special reader. So, I decided to have a serious entry today, dedicated to special reader. hur hur. We are so going to talk about current affairs.

1. Alan Greenspan retires.
For a person so powerful like him, his retirement ought receive more pubilicity of some sort. I remember my economics teacher telling us, even his sneeze can affect our economy. Well.. uh... *ah chewwww?*

2. Modern Day Titanic
A 35 year-old ship sunk on its way back to Egypt. So far 100++ bodies found, 300++ rescued and close to 1000 missing, and not likely to be found alive. Reminds me of Titanic. It must be very bad for their family members, most of the victims are people returning to Egypt from work.

3. Stampede in Manila
A popular show in Manila was going to celebrate some kind of anniversary or something. The prizes were so good that it attracted thousands of people. Things got out of control and people were stepped on to death.

4. Overcrowding in Disneyland Hong Kong
Tourists are not able to enter Disneyland, HK because the number of visitors reached the quota. So many Chinese tourist, *being typically them*, resorted to climbing across the railings and stuffs. Undetered, many returned the following day to find that they still cannot enter.

5. Kuwait's new Amir
I don't know what Amir is, but hey, it's current affairs anyway. Anyway, his name is *get ready for this* Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.

6. Anti-Thaksin rally
Held in Bangkok Park, people are asking Thaksin to go away. Looks like he is not doing a good job there. Issues involved things like corruption, infringing on media freedom, and "money politics", and of cos' the sale of Shin Corp. to Temasak holdings. *well, just leave the Chatuchak market alone!!*

7. Cartoons of Prophet Mohammed
I have not seen the stuff personally. Things like press freedom and what-nots come in. Well, it's always the western world's say.

8. Chingay 2006
Oh, there's Chingay at Orchard road today. People started 'choping' a good spot to STAND as early as 4PM, despite the rain.

OK, I am VERY tired already. Must have wiped out the entire colony of brain cells while typing such.. relevant matters. *yawns*

Swimming after Mass tomorrow. 30 laps, here I come~

Blessed are the sleepers

I seriously need to sleep.. LONG enough. I haven't been able to sleep well lately, clocking an average of like 6 hours each day and I feel lethagic the rest of the day.. WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME??!

So anyway we had our Buangsters AGM last night. It was initially at Zion Road until the stalls all decided to close when we reached there. Actually what I had in mind was the shop outside the Hawker but not exactly know it's location, so I did not mention it.. Anyway, as we were leaving for Adam's road, we passed by the shop, which was so prominently placed opposite Great World. ......

Anyway, it was a night of gossiping and catching up, no, it's purely gossiping. hur. And this time, the jokes' not on me at all cos' Colin's got funnier stuffs. whahaah. We ought to stop this. Bad Karma, very BAAAD.

Well, I need to go shopping soon for my crocs. I CANNOT STAND IT ANYMORE. Yesterday I saw Huanlin's bf, Henry and he was wearing a pair of crocs. *so envious*. AND SO, I want to get my crocs soon! *women love shoes, even though not always the same type, but yes, generally women loves shoes* Oh, so anyway, I am forsaking the new Roxy wallet to buy Crocs shoes. I shall recycle my old Projectshop wallet, which I think is still use-able? hur. And I need new belt cos' my new Levis is a lil' loose for me. TSK. How to save up like that...

Anyway, here's a sneak preview of my to-be new Crocs:

So pretty right? Cannot stand it... URGH~

Initially, this was not what I want to get cos' it's a little casual, and I thought I needed something more serious like

Well, apparently they don't think serious shoes should come in green. TSK. Boring geeks. TSK.

That's what it's all about?

See the black box that says Ringgits start here??
Hur hur.. isn't it? the whole point of CNY..

Unfortunately for me, there is a general decrease in the amount this year due to ringgit fluctuation. I don't mean ringgit as a whole, but I mean I am not getting the RM50 and RM1oo like I used to, or rather, WE used to. Poor cousins. hur hur hur.

Don't get me wrong, I know there's more to CNY than Angbaos. hur hur.. I am not so mercenary like I seem caaan.. I love CNY. There's always plentiful amount of glorious food like...

ORH JIENH!!!!!

Bamboo Clams

Some funny Vege cooked in Sambal~

and yes.. family. People we do not meet all the time. I love spending CY at my momma's side grams even though the house is hot like a giant oven waiting to explode anytime. But still I enjoy watching my young cousins play, teasing my cousins and watching TV with them, plucking coconuts and drinking coconut.. uh, drink? yada yada yada.. This year, armed with our cameras, Sueli and I went around taking photos with people.. like..

Boy and Yan lighting up fireworks

Daniel and Ann

My Gramsy, my silly uncle, Sue Li and Sher Li

Daniel and Sarah.

Me, Ann and Hui Li. *yes, I noe I have pretty exotic-looking cousins, DON'T ask what happened to me*

I SAID STOP ASKING ALREADY!!! *by the way, that's Boon Li and Daniel*

oEY, enough horrr..

Some uncles and another boy cousin who looks rather deranged here...

Yun Li SUe Li N me. Can you believe it, Yun Li is turning 2* soon. And * is a number bigger than 5..

Of cos' the 2 of us, with her VERY funny mother, my auntie, in the background.

And one thing good about big families is that you won't get the chance to be questioned about your love life because everyone is concerned with 'older' kids, such as my brother and Yun Li and Sherli and ever younger ones like GuoShen and his brother Yan who are both happily attached. So. hur hur. Looking back at last year's photos, I realised my momma was right. I need to eat much lesser. So if you see me lately, DO NOT REMIND ME AGAIN. I will bite.

Speaking of CNY, I bought some tulips the other day, not expecting it to blossom, just trying my luck. And turned out when I return from PD, they are greeting me so cheerfully...

So ncie like plastic flowers

Oh well, so much for my Chinese New Year. Like usual, I don't enjoy spending my time at my Daddy's side family. Oh well, you can't always have the best of both worlds right...

well, the sun is setting..

And it's getting dark...

SO goodnight lah!!!

P/S: I need research participants of age 8-12 for my ISM. I am doing stuffs like the effects of Neopets on them, optimistically I need 100 kids.. So if you guys are able to help, pleeeeasssseeee email me at

My declaration of Love
I need to know how to feel without you.. I need to find myself, to give you the space you need, to move in a different direction from yours.. I want to know how life can go on without you.. I want to embrace joy, indulge in love, to enjoy every drop of sunshine that falls on me.. I will conquer my fear of living in a world without you.. I will live my life as though I had never met you...
